ホストファミリーとの出会い/Meeting the Host Families

　演劇祭期間中は、国内外を問わず全参加劇団員が、村内外の３８世帯に宿泊して地域の人々と交流しました。お互い言葉がなかなか通じないという苦労もあったようですが、劇団員の皆さんはホームスティの体験について口々に、「素晴らしい人々の最高のおもてなし!」と興奮気味に話しておられました。

During the festival, all members of both the Japanese and foreign theatre groups were accommodated at about forty homes in and around Yakumo Village, where they experienced cultural exchange with people in the community. While both sides experienced some difficulty overcoming language barriers, the members of the various participating groups excitedly expressed their feelings one by one, regarding their host family experiences like, "Fantastic people and great hospitality!"
